Six Promotions Strengthen CMP Media's Channel Commitment

MANHASSET, N.Y., Aug. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- CMP Channel Group President Robert Faletra announced the promotions of Dan Dignam, Heather Clancy, Nancy Hammervik, and Alex Nordlinger-Stark to CMP Channel Group vice president, as well as the promotions of Gordon Plutsky to Group Marketing Director and Bill Jones to Senior Events Manager, CMP XChange Conferences. These promotions help strengthen the CMP Channel Group's commitment to deliver greater access and execution to the channel.

The Channel Group's promotions include:

Dan Dignam, vice president and publisher of CRN

Dan Dignam joined the CMP Channel Group in 1998, will continue to manage the publishing strategy of CRN. Dignam oversees CRN editorial, marketing and sales and works closely with circulation and research to ensure that advertisers reach their customer segments by leveraging CRN's channel expertise.

Heather Clancy, vice president and editor of CRN

Heather Clancy joined the CMP Channel Group in 1989 and her latest project involved spearheading the development of CRN TV, a program featured on the newsweekly's Web site. A frequent CRN cover story contributor, she handles reader advocacy functions for the publication and works with the editorial team to shape exclusive news, research and special reports.

Nancy Hammervik, vice president of events

Nancy Hammervik who has been with the CMP Channel Group since 1995, will continue to provide strategic direction to CMP's XChange Conference Group and also manage the day-to-day operations, recruitment and marketing activities of her staff.

Alexandra Nordlinger-Stark, vice president, strategic accounts

Alexandra Nordlinger-Stark began her career on CRN in 1992. She has held several management positions, including national sales manager of CRN and managing director of the ChannelWeb network. Ms. Nordlinger-Stark will expand her current role as VP/Strategic Accounts for the entire CMP Channel Group.

Gordon Plutsky, Group Marketing Director

Gordon Plutsky joined the CMP Channel Group in 2002 and is responsible for the group positioning as well as the branded CRN/VARBusiness events and sales programs that drive revenue for the CMP Channel Group. In his expanded role Gordon will be responsible for all marketing activities across the group while managing the marketing team and the entire creative team across the CMP Channel Group. Before joining CMP, Mr. Plutsky was Executive Director of marketing and research at Ziff Davis Media.

Bill Jones, Senior Events Manager, XChange

Bill Jones is responsible for the supervision of all XChange events from marketing and supplier relationships to managing vendor client satisfaction. Mr. Jones has been with the CMP XChange group for nearly eight years and has contributed to the events growth and success.
